Our streets make up the majority of public space in the Bronx. The City must commit to redesigning our city streets to prioritize safety, improve green initiatives, lower fares, expand bike lanes, and increase transit access for all.
We must revitalize vision zero in order to end traffic deaths in New York City. Strongly supports Intro 2224-2021, which would transfer responsibility for investigating serious vehicular crashes from the NYPD to the Department of Transportation.
The MTA must restore 24/7 subway service. Thousands of New Yorkers, especially frontline workers, people of color, and residents of lower-income communities, are severely inconvenienced by the overnight shutdown.
Support Intro 2159 which would require the Department of Transportation to create a civilian-reporting board so everyday New Yorkers can safely report parking violations.
Transform old parking lots into parks and green space areas. The City can collaborate with community-based groups and churches to help replace concrete and asphalt with trees, rain gardens, and natural play areas.
